What is Auro Thread?

Auro Thread is a premium lifting thread made of PDO. It increases collagen by stimulating fibroblasts and finally gets absorbed. Anyone can experience overall facial contouring, skin elasticity with a simple and safe treatment that brings natural and desirable results to the face and body. The superior quality of the ultra-thin-walled needle makes the treatment simple, easy, non-invasive and pain-free.

What is PDO Thread Lift?

PDO thread lift is one of the most popular non-surgical methods. It works great to lift, tighten and restore sagging, saggy skin, it also boosts collagen production and adds volume in the treated area. PDO line comes in a variety of textures, and it can also be used for custom treatments. PDO thread lift has been recognized by the public as a minimally invasive alternative to surgical facelift. Its effects are temporary, but more subtle than those produced by facelifts. Over time, as it stimulates natural collagen production in the process, fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging skin will gradually improve and get better.

What advantages over surgical facelift?

Proponents of thread lifts cite many potential benefits of the procedure over traditional surgical facelifts:

(1)Thread embedding is a relatively quick process often referred to as a "lunchtime facelift"

(2)Patients can resume normal activities almost immediately

(3)Usually less pain and bruising compared to surgery

(4)Since the procedure is performed under local anesthesia, the patient can actively interact with the doctor to control the degree of skin lift.

The procedure produces immediate results and reduces the possibility of overstretching

It is much cheaper than surgery. Thread lifts typically cost between $1,500-$4,500. This is estimated to be about 40% of the cost of a surgical facelift.

How long does PDO Thread Lift last?

PDO thread lifts last longer, depending on your age and how your skin responds to the treatment. Some of our patients can enjoy results for up to 2 years before receiving another treatment. Since our PDO line is completely absorbable, there will be no problems with continuing top-up treatments later on. PDO lines do not stop the aging process, but they enhance facial features, help tighten and tone the skin, and reduce certain fine lines and wrinkles
About 6 months after Pdo thread lift surgery, the PDO thread will slowly disappear with hydrolysis. After the thread is absorbed into the skin, the lifting effect lasts about 3-6 months, although this effect can last for two years or more.
While it's not permanent, the risk of treatment is low, and most patients opt for a new set after the old thread fades. For best results, Auro thread recommends using a medically directed skin care treatment after a thread lift.

Who can choose PDO Thread Lift?

In most cases, candidacy for a PDO thread lift procedure is determined during an initial consultation with our dermatologists. In general, however, patients over the age of 30 with mild to moderate skin laxity, wrinkles, and fine lines on the forehead, face, and/or neck are usually good candidates for this procedure. This procedure is ideal for patients who wish to avoid surgical incisions, the lengthy recovery of traditional facelifts, and manual suture removal after treatment. Additionally, PDO lifts provide dramatic, natural-looking results in a minimally invasive and relatively quick procedure.

What are the possible side effects of PDO Thread Lift treatment?

Complications are rare, and if minor complications occur, they are easily corrected. All of the following complications are treatable and may include inflammation, bruising, skin irregularities, folds and infections. In some cases, the patient may feel some tightness or pulling, or may feel a thread. These minor side effects resolve in time. Since this technique is fully reversible, unwanted side effects are usually easily corrected under local anesthesia. If the desired effect is not achieved, you can always add additional threads, and experienced professionals will often wait weeks before performing the grooming procedure.

PDO Thread Lift recovery

Recovery after thread lift is usually minimal. During the first 24-48 hours after surgery, patients may experience normal swelling and discomfort, which can be easily controlled with pain medication. They may then return to basic daily life. Patients may wish to ice the area and apply arnica to reduce swelling and bruising. Make sure to avoid any strenuous activity for a few days. Patients should try to avoid rubbing their face for one week after surgery, in order to prevent the inserted thread from accidentally falling off. We advise patients to avoid pursing their lips and use all tobacco products and alcohol for the first few weeks. Avoid lying on your side or prone, strenuous activity and exercise, and sauna use for 1-2 weeks after PDO surgery. Skin care products are recommended during and after recovery to ensure optimal results.
